Catch up! Learn about the latest CDC recommendations to prevent COVID-19
The best way to take care of COVID-19 is to make sure you have your complete vaccination scheme. However, because the Delta variant of the virus is highly contagious and present throughout the United States, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that you take some steps to protect yourself and your community. Here we list them:
If you are in a closed or poorly ventilated public place, wear a mask.
Take extra precautions in areas of substantial or high transmission with these 3 steps:
1. Find out if you are in a risk zone by entering this link
2. Select your state and your county.
3. Review the map. If your county is in red it means that the infections in the area are high and if they are in orange they are substantial.
Also, the use of masks is recommended if you are one of the people who are at the highest risk of becoming seriously ill from COVID-19 (such as older adults, immunosuppressed people, with diabetes or a chronic disease).
If you have been in contact with a person who has been infected with COVID-19, it is recommended that you take a test 3 to 5 days after living with this person, and wear a mask in closed public environments for 14 days or up receive a negative test result.
The CDC also recommends that all people who visit, work or study in schools wear masks indoors, even if they are vaccinated and vaccinated.
Vaccination is key to preventing the spread of the virus and the generation of new variants: the more people are vaccinated, the less chance the virus has to reproduce, multiply and change. Ending this pandemic is everyone's responsibility.
