Formal Complaint Regarding Inhumane Treatment of My Brother by 1899 LLC Landscape Solution I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction and outrage with the treatment my brother received from your company, 1899 LLC Landscape Solution. My brother came to work for you with a visa, a process that is incredibly rigorous and demanding. Despite his efforts to understand the necessary details about his employment and living arrangements, he was provided with minimal information, making it a gamble driven by necessity and took the opportunity. Upon his arrival to the South Carolina, it became evident that your company was disorganized and unprepared for his arrival. Despite his basic proficiency in English, which he had worked hard to achieve, he was met with a lack of professionalism and basic human decency. One of your employees, whom we believe to be the manager, curtly told him to "hop in the truck" and go to work immediately. When my brother requested a chance to shower and grab a quick snack before starting his day, he was denied. Furthermore, when he asked if he could purchase work boots since he only had tennis shoes, he was bluntly told that he was there to work and nothing else. This kind of treatment on the first day is unacceptable. At the end of his grueling workday, he inquired about his accommodation and was shockingly told that it was not your company’s problem. He was dropped off at the Stay Express Inn in North Charleston, an area notorious for prostitution, drugs, and homelessness. The individual who dropped him off even advised him not to leave the hotel after 9 PM, clearly aware of the dangerous environment. Additionally, the hotel itself was infested with insects, making it an unsanitary and unfit place to stay. This experience was not only cruel but inhumane. It is appalling that a company would request extra labor and then treat the workers with such disrespect and disregard for their well-being. This type of behavior reflects poorly on your company’s values and ethics. I urge you to address this issue immediately and ensure that no other workers are subjected to such degrading and inhumane treatment. Your company must improve its organizational processes, provide clear and thorough information to its employees, and treat them with the basic respect and dignity they deserve or be shutdown! Until these issues are resolved, I would strongly advise anyone considering hiring your company to look elsewhere. The treatment my brother received is unacceptable, and no one should have to endure such conditions.
