US Ambassador to Mexico, Mexico Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare, and Wage and Hour Division Principal Deputy Administrator launch a pilot program aimed at returning wages owed to H-2A migrant workers 

On March 13, 2023, US Ambassador to the Mexico, Ken Salazar, Mexico Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS), Luisa María Alcalde and Principal Deputy Administrator for the Wage and Hour Division (WHD), Jessica Looman, attended a launch ceremony for the U.S.-Mexico Return of Migrant Wages Pilot Program. This pilot program is a clear example of how coordinated advocacy between Mexico and the United States to enforce U.S. labor laws, respect human and labor rights, and provide a pathway to access justice.

El pasado 28 de marzo, el Departamento de Estado publicó en el Registro Federal un anuncio sobre el aumento en el costo del procesamiento de visas de no inmigrante, los costos entrarán en vigor hoy 30 de mayo de 2023.

Las visas que no se basan en peticiones y son de turismo o negocios se consideran en la categoría de no inmigrantes visa (NIV) y tendrá un aumento en su costo de procesamiento, pasará de $160 a $185 dólares.
