Las visas H-2 son permisos otorgados por el gobierno estadounidense. Para ello es necesario que los empleadores sometan una petición ante el Departamento de Trabajo de los Estados Unidos, solicitando la entrada de las y los trabajadores por una temporada. Sin embargo, este proceso que inicia en los EEUU continúa en las comunidades de origen de las y los trabajadores en México, a través de reclutadores y agencias de reclutamiento que ofertan los puestos de trabajo.

Four TN visa workers just achieved justice in their lawsuit against the dairy Kuiper Dairy, LLC in Texas. A little more than a year ago, they filed a lawsuit for violations of their labor rights. According to their allegations, they were recruited by Kuiper Dairy to work as animal scientists, but when they arrived for work, their job duties did not match their job offers, and they were not paid the promised wage either. When they complained about their wages, according to the lawsuit, their employment was terminated.

Cuatro personas trabajadoras con visas TN lograron justicia en su demanda en contra de la lechería Kuiper Dairy, LLC en Texas. Hace poco más de un año, presentaron una demanda por violaciones de sus derechos laborales. Según sus alegaciones, Kuiper Dairy los reclutó para trabajar como científicos de animales, pero cuando llegaron al lugar de trabajo, sus deberes no correspondían con la oferta de trabajo y tampoco les pagaron la compensación prometida. Each spring, Susana travels from Mexico to the United States to spend eight months packing seafood with an H-2B visa.  This March, Susana was preparing for her journey to the United States when she was invited to get a Sputnik V vaccine at a community vaccination event in her hometown in Mexico.  Susana chose to get her first dose to protect herself and her community against COVID-19. But before she could get her second dose, she was called to work in the United States.
